Have you started making your Valentine’s Day plans yet? February 14th is just around the corner, and we’d suggest making your reservations as soon as possible. Not sure what you’ll be doing? We have a number of suggestions for you to get started.

First, have a romantic meal. While this is a classic Valentine’s Day tradition, instead of choosing a classically romantic and candle-lit spot you’ve been to a million times, why not try something new? Many restaurants will have Valentine’s Day specials, but don’t be afraid to use the occasion to visit a spot you’ve never been to. Restaurants without deals will also have the benefit of being less crowded. Wherever you choose to eat, be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible — places are filling up!

Second, skip dinner and plan a fun adventure with your significant other, family, and friends. Who says Valentine’s Day needs to be a traditional dinner and a movie? Why not try bowling, rock climbing, or hiking outside in a beautiful place? Skipping the crowds at the cinema might be the best decision you’ll make. This is also a great way to spend the holiday in a non-romantic way — get a group together and find a fun activity that you’ve been waiting to try.

Third, take a day trip out of your city. Many people stick to their normal spots for Valentine’s Day, but why not charter a van and take your family and group of friends to a new area? New England has plenty of beautiful cities to explore, from Portland to Waterville. This is a great day to get out of your normal routine with a daycation.

No matter what you decide to do this Valentine’s Day, be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible. Keep your eye out for special deals on the day, as well as the kind of transportation you’ll need, from a classic and stylish town car to get you to a romantic dinner and back, or a larger charter bus to get your group to a fun adventure.
